Xploreum publishes Adventure Planning articles and product comparisons to help travelers plan outdoor trips. This page explains how that content is produced, reviewed, and corrected, and it discloses our relationship to the products we write about.

Who publishes this content

These articles are written and maintained by the Xploreum editorial team. Xploreum is the company behind Xavier, the AI agent companion described throughout the site. When an article compares Xavier or Xploreum with another product, we are writing about our own product alongside others, and we say so plainly.

How we evaluate products

When we compare tools, we focus on what each product is built to do and who it fits, rather than declaring a single universal winner. For each comparison we aim to include:

• A plain description of each product.
• A side-by-side table of relevant capabilities.
• A clear statement of who each product is best for.
• An honest section on where the other product is stronger.
• A dated note of when the comparison was last reviewed.

We try to describe differences as a matter of focus rather than deficiency, and we avoid absolute claims such as "product X wins" unless the stated criteria clearly support that conclusion.

How we verify claims about other products

Claims about other companies' products are drawn from those companies' own public materials, such as their websites and official documentation. Where a specific figure or feature cannot be confirmed against a primary source, we attribute it to the company ("according to their official materials") or soften it rather than state it as verified fact. Third-party features, pricing tiers, and availability change over time, so we treat them as accurate as of the review date shown on each article.

How we handle claims about our own product

We describe Xavier and Xploreum based on current, shipped capabilities. Features that are planned or in development are labeled as such and are not presented as if they are already live. We keep product claims in our structured data limited to verifiable current capabilities.

How often we review articles

Each article shows a "last updated" date. We revisit comparisons and guides when a product we cover changes materially, when we learn a detail has become inaccurate, or as part of periodic review. The date on the article reflects the most recent substantive review.

If you believe something in an article is inaccurate or out of date, email hello@xploreum.io. We review correction requests, update the affected article, and refresh its "last updated" date when we make a substantive change.
